Mabezat virus propagates through network, removable storage devices and emails. This file infects executable files and encrypts data files.

You can see if you are infected by the virus if you have these files at your PC.

At the Documents And Settings Folder:
tazebama.dll
tazebama.dl_
hook.dl_

It also create a "tazebama" folder at the Application Data Folder. And creates zPharaoh.exe file at all root folders with autorun.inf.

And it copies itself to removable devices with these filenames or the names that are already existing on the Removable Drive.

Digg it | Stumble it | Save to Del.ico.us |
There are so many virus, malwares and spyware that a single anti virus software isn't able to detect them all as soon as they get out and start infecting. Some anti virus pick them up faster and some don't. Some even may say that it isn't infected at all.

This is why a multiple anti virus software comes in handy. Now you can't go and install all the anti virus softwares in your pc to check if any malicious code or virus is detected. This will make it very difficult and time consuming may be irritating too.

But there are now solution to it. You can upload the file to the Site and it will check the virus with multiple anti virus and you will be shown the results in a browser. The check is done extremely fast on different anti virus softwares.

The leading one on the web is VirusTotal.com. It has about 30+ anti virus engines to check your files in.

Free Internet Security for Your Computer

Digg it | Stumble it | Save to Del.ico.us |
Surfing the Internet nowadays can be very dangerous. With all the viruses, spywares, adwares, identity thieves and hackers circulating for surfers to victimize, opening and downloading an attachment sent by your friend can be very scary.

This is why Internet security is a necessity in all computers to prevent yourself from getting victimized by people who wants to steal from you or from viruses programmed to destroy your important files.

Without protection, it would be like leaving the keys to your front door visible and letting anyone in and install spy cameras around your house without you even knowing about it. The same applies to your computer. Since all your files today are stored in your computer, such as financial and personal information, you wouldn’t want to let anyone take a peek in your computer.

While it is true that the internet can provide you with a lot of benefits, it is also a fact that the internet is also abused by certain people looking for a way to destroy your computer or steal from you by using your financial and personal information. This is why it is important for you to download Internet security software to enable you to put a lock in your computer and prevent different malicious programs and people from entering and gaining access to your computer.

Today, there is quite a number of software that offers Internet security available for download in the Internet. However, most of these software programs are for sale and you need to pay for it in order to get the full version of the program.

There are quite a few numbers of Internet security programs that are free. However, most of these programs are only in demo version and it has a specific trial period on how long you will be able to use the program. After the trial period expires, you will have to pay for the software program in order to continuously use it to protect your computer.

There are also free Internet security programs that offer unlimited uses. However, most of these programs only offer little features and minimum security for your computer. Usually, these programs only have a limited amount of virus definitions installed and are not able to block new viruses effectively.

Free Internet security programs can also be useful. It can serve as a temporary security program for your computer while you look for a different Internet security program to install in your computer.

So, if you still don’t have an internet security program installed in your computer or is still trying to find the best kind of internet security program, you can always download free versions of these programs to get you some protection for your computer. With this, you can be at least confident when you are surfing the Internet.

Always remember that free Internet security programs should only serve as a temporary fix until you find a good Internet security program to install in your computer.

Once you find a good Internet security program, you can always uninstall the free Internet security program and install your preferred Internet security program that offers maximum protection from viruses, malware, spyware, hackers and identity thieves.

So, if you are still looking for a program that offers complete protection from malicious software programs but you want to surf the Internet, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to surf the Internet naked. Try and install free versions of Internet security programs to at least give you some protection.

What are Adware, Spyware and Anti-virus

Digg it | Stumble it | Save to Del.ico.us |
Adware, spyware and computer virus share some similarities, one of which is that all three are major nuisances for computer users. Let's differentiate the three.

Spyware is software that does not intentionally harm your computer. What they do is that they create pathways wherein someone else aside from the computer owner can communicate with the computer. Normally spywares record the various types of web sites you visit which are later used by web advertisers to allow them to send you unwanted emails and pop-ups.

This is why spyware are usually frowned upon and greatly avoided. They are more intrusive than adware. Spyware have their own separate executable programs which allow them to record your keystrokes, scan files on your hard disks and look at other applications that you use including but not limited to chat programs, cookies and Web browser settings.

The spyware then will send the information that it had gathered to the spyware author. The agent will then use this information for advertising and marketing purposes. They even sell the information to advertisers and other parties.

Adware, on the other hand, are more legitimate form of freeware. Similar to spyware, adwares are advertising materials which are packaged into a software or program and are installed automatically once that particular program or software is added into the computer system. Some forms of adware, on the other hand, download advertising contents as a particular application is being utilized. It is quite unfortunate that most of the adware programs take the form of spywares that is they track and report user information to program authors.

Some signs of spyware infections include pop-up ads that seem to be not related to the site you are viewing. More often than not, spyware pop-ups are advertisements about adult contents. Also if you notice your computer slowing down, there's a big chance that spywares and its other components have found their way in your operating system. When the Windows desktop also takes a longer time to load, its best to scan your computer for possible spyware infections.

Meanwhile, viruses are destructive form of software. They were purely designed and created for one purpose alone: to wreck havoc to your computer. They destroy whatever they come in contact to and will initiate self replication and infect as many components of the computer's operating system or network as possible.

Nowadays, a lot of anti-virus software also provides spyware and adware scanning and removal utilities. Some programs, however, are focused on located and deleting or destroying spyware and adware programs. Whether is an anti-virus software or a anti-spyware dedicated scanner, they both search your computer and identify any spyware and virus installed on your system.

They then remove it as well as their components located in the system registry among other places in your computer. It is therefore, good to regularly update your virus or spyware scanner to ensure that your computer is protected from the thousands of spyware and viruses in the internet. Never be fooled from ads that claim that their products only contain adware.

These adware maybe spyware in disguised and are just waiting to be deployed for them to gather your information. Learn to setup firewall systems and always block pop-up blockers to minimize computer infection and ensure the security of all your computer files.

Panda Cloud Anti Virus Software.

Digg it | Stumble it | Save to Del.ico.us |

Just saw a video on blog.cloudantivirus.com which has a video which was showing a new concept of how cloud anti virus works. It works on a new concept that seem to be the best concept of being the best antivirus

This anti virus works like this when you use the Cloud Anti virus software then you are connected to the "Panda cloud" where you and other panda cloud anti virus users are connected. And when you are browsing sites and doing things online, your queries and site clicks are checked by the Panda Cloud.

And when anyone of the user of the anti virus makes contact with any virus that can harm you then the Cloud Anti virus will collect the information about the virus and adds it to the ever expanding virus database. Then all the users who are using the anti virus are saved from the virus as the antivirus blocks the virus from all the users of the antivirus. And the update is done in 6 minutes. Unlike other anti virus software that takes month to update their anti virus database.

And the software is lite and wont be a memory hog on your computer as the work is done in the cloud and your other programs will run faster. You just have to set up and forget about the software as the database in the Panda cloud is growing you will won't need to update your anti virus and you will be protected from the latest threats as soon as the community finds it.

And the best part about the software is that it is totally free which lets the community to grow big and prevention gets really real time cuz as soon as the cloud detects a new virus the whole community using the anti virus gets protection as soon as 6 minutes.

You can download the Software here
http://www.cloudantivirus.com/

And watch the video about the antivirus at

Whats a Conficker Worm ?

Digg it | Stumble it | Save to Del.ico.us |
Conficker Worm is a worm that locks users out of system directories, and blocks your access to security websites and applications, such as Windows Automatic Update Service, Windows Security Center Service, Windows Defender Service (WinDefend), Windows Vista TCP/IP auto-tuning, and more. To further hide its presence in your computer, Conficker Worm deletes any System Restore points you’ve created.

What’s the point?

Conficker Worm wants to remain undetected, as Conficker Worm downloads more malware onto your computer, contacts ISPs to get directions from a hacker, and places your computer in the Conficker Worm botnet.

Unless your PC becoming part of a hacker’s network sounds like fun, let me show you how to get rid of Conficker Worm for free.

You can use my Conficker Worm removal instructions below, or also try Microsoft’s Conficker worm remover software.

Do You Have Conficker Worm?

When you’re infected with badware — whether it’s Conficker Worm, spyware, adware, a Trojan, or a virus — there are a few key symptoms. Have you noticed…

* Slow computer performance: It just takes one parasite like Conficker Worm to slow your computer dramatically. If your PC takes longer than usual to reboot, or if your Internet connection is unusually slow, you may be infected with Conficker Worm.
* New desktop shortcuts or switched homepage: Badware like Conficker Worm may change your Internet settings to redirect your homepage to another site. Badware can even add desktop shortcuts to your PC.
* Annoying popups: Badware can bombard your computer with popup ads, even when you’re not online. Through these popups, you may be tricked into downloading more spyware.

How to Remove Conficker Worm Manually

Conficker Worm May Be a Worm

Worms are virus-like badware with destructive codes. Worms are able to mutate, or replace their own code by automatically, which makes worms very dangerous, difficult to find, and hard to delete. Similar to viruses, worms can spread to the other computers by secretly and automatically emailing themselves to other Internet users in your address book. The main difference between worms and viruses is that a worm wil replace your computer files rather than simply inserting their code into your files.

"Paris Hilton Tosses Dwarf On The Street; Examiners Caught Downloading Grades From The Internet; Hello; You must see it!!! LOL. My friend catched you on hidden cam; Is it really celebrity? Funny Moments and many others"

The messages and comments on myspace and facebook might have a link to
http://youtube.[skip].pl.And if a user clicks on these links she/he is taken or redirected to http://youtube.[skip].ru, which seems to be a video site and when the user tries to view the video then the user is asked to download the latest flash player to their pc. But a file called codecsetup.exe is downloaded to the users system which is also a network worm. And the users who have gone through this process are infected by the worm and it starts to spread through you to others.

And the worm seem to spread as the messages and comments seem to come from friends and they user is highly likely to click on the links and infect themselves with the worm.

As of now
Kaspersky Internet Security detected these threats proactively and signatures were added to the database on July 31, 2008.

Disable Autorun on all your Drives to prevent infection

You might have use your flash drive in someone else computer and then when you brought it back home and opened the drive without knowing that it had a autorun virus on the drive. And it infects all of your drive and disables your registry editor, task manager, command(cmd.exe). And you don't know what to do. This autorun virus creates multiple files in all the rood directory of the drives and when you right click on any of your drive you get a autorun option at the top instead of the usual open option.

And Sometimes when you insert a CD or DVD on the Drive then it auto loads itself and takes alot of time to find the autorun on the CD or DVD and then shows you option to open the files, play music and others. This might be wasting a lot of time if your computer is slow onto itself.

This problem can be fixed when you disable the Windows XP option to enable autorun on all the drives. For this take the following steps.

1. Go to Run Dialog box and type in "gpedit.msc" and hit Enter.
2. You will be taken to Group Policy window.

3. Then on the left sidepanel on the Local Computer Policy.
4. Go to Administrative templates and double click to drop down menu.
5. Then Search for the "Turn Off Autoplay" And Double Click it.

6. To disable autorun on all the drives enable the function.
7. And on the "Turn off Autoplay on"drop down menu choose All Drives.
8. Click Apply and you are done

This tweak will help you not to get annoyed by autoruns on all drives and the infection from virus and malware that are supposed to run with the autorun function

fix vundo virus
Info:-
The Virtumundo or the Vundo virus is a trojan that is very hard to remove with a simple Antivirus.IT is a trojan horse that has been noticed to cause popups, download trojan softwares and malware to your computer. Vundo can infect your computer if you visit a website link that contains the trojan, or if you have download it from a spam mail.
It is known to create a DLL file in the Windows system32 directory and inject it into system processes winlogon.exe and explorer.exe. It can cause your explorer to crash and return back to normal and the process is repeated 100 of times. And even if you become able to delete one of the dll files it will create another dll file with a random name and then start infecting you again. It also disguises itself as spyware and tries you to download or buy something to your pc. It can disguise as:-
- WinAntivirus Pro

- Sysprotect

- WinFixer

- ULWindowSeek

- ULWindowURL

- SystemDoctor

- SuperMWindow

It is known to exploit the vunerability of the IE explorer and the java 1.4 or earlier versions. So it can infect most of the unupdated systems everywhere. Most Antivirus can detect that the virus or trojan is on your system and you can check the dll file on the virustotal.com and see that most of them find the infection. But they are unable to completely delete the virus because it create another random virus dll on itself.

Removal Tools:-
So to fix the infection you have to use either of these softwares. Symantec has a tool to remove the infection.

The other is Vundofix from www.atribune.org, It can detect the infection by three different detection types. And the software is free. Another software is Combofix. It is also a software that is able to detect and remove the Virtumundo virus from your computer.

You can download the free software from Combofix.org. Be sure to download the latest version as it will enable you to find the infection easier and find different varients.

I was just reading a new at the Register. I found out that that people who are selling fake antivirus are making over 10 million dollars in a month. These are scarework pakages that tend to trick the buyer that it will fix the infections on the computer which is creating a problem for the Computer users.
Panda estimates that over 30 Million computers worldwide is infected by a fake antivirus and has found about 7000 variant of these types of program. And they are using a fake google toolbar to promote the product.
There are alot of tricks used by scammers to scam the people as redirecting the users to a site that is selling these fake antivirus, showing users popups that they are infected with fake malware and spyware, which keeps on interupting the users browsers continously.
And Panda has found that none if these fake antivirus is good against any of the threats that they are pretending to defend against.
You can see the screenshots of these fake Antiiviruses here.
See here

YOu can also see the infection statistics worldwide
