Kaspersky Lab, A leading Antivirus and Security manager has detected namely Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.a. and Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.b, which is supposedly targets the users of myspace and facebook users. As Kaspersky found out their malicious payload, the worms transform victim machines into zombie computers to form botnets. Kaspersky has warned the users of internet that the worm won't just target myspace and facebook users but also it is designed to upload additional malicious modules to the internet with other functionality.
Kaspersky found out "Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.a" spreads when the user of Myspace acess his/her Account and creates a range of comment to the friends accounts. "Net-Worm.Win32.Koobface.b", is made for the facebook users and sends messages to the users friends and contacts for spreading. The messages and comments sent from the worm can be text as:-
"Paris Hilton Tosses Dwarf On The Street; Examiners Caught Downloading Grades From The Internet; Hello; You must see it!!! LOL. My friend catched you on hidden cam; Is it really celebrity? Funny Moments and many others"
The messages and comments on myspace and facebook might have a link to http://youtube.[skip].pl.And if a user clicks on these links she/he is taken or redirected to http://youtube.[skip].ru, which seems to be a video site and when the user tries to view the video then the user is asked to download the latest flash player to their pc. But a file called codecsetup.exe is downloaded to the users system which is also a network worm. And the users who have gone through this process are infected by the worm and it starts to spread through you to others.
And the worm seem to spread as the messages and comments seem to come from friends and they user is highly likely to click on the links and infect themselves with the worm.
As of now Kaspersky Internet Security detected these threats proactively and signatures were added to the database on July 31, 2008.

Clean out those nasty little bugs.
The antispyware solution from Search-and-destroy is one of the best scanners I’ve found so far to help me clean out those nasty little bugs that slows down my computer and causes it to freeze up or crash. It keeps my computer running like new and best of all it cost less than many of the other better known scanners that have been available for awhile now. I was glad that I finally found a scan that works and that’s so affordable. Search-and-destroy Antispyware is the best scanner I’ve used so far and you can find out more information by simply visiting http://www.Search-and-destroy.com.
